DAMchic X RRFM CLOTHING EXCHANGE
For my senior capstone in Oregon State University’s Graphic Design program, I organized and branded a free clothing exchange focused on sustainability and community engagement. I partnered with two organizations I was already involved in—DAMchic Magazine (as Assistant Editor) and Really Really Free Market Corvallis—to co-host the event and encourage student participation.

I developed a full visual identity for the event, balancing playful, eye-catching elements with OSU’s brand guidelines to signal legitimacy and campus affiliation. Marketing materials included a poster, Instagram assets (feed and story posts), name tags, branded stickers, and a QR code for students to get involved with either organization. The final designs emphasized clarity, inclusivity, and a sense of fun to draw in students both online and in person.

For the event’s marketing, I developed the assets I wanted to use in its branding. I wanted the colors to be fun and appealing while adhering to OSU’s branding guidelines to suggest its affiliation with the school. I also wanted to make sure that the goal of the event was clear upon a quick glance from students walking to class or scrolling on instagram. I did this by including images of clothing at the top of the poster surrounding the “Clothing Exchange” title. I also used the logos of both organizations, which are ubiquitous around campus and recognizable to most of the student body to show the legitimacy of the event.
